Inspiration:
I live in Riverside with my husband and two children. My art education began as a young child growing up in San Diego. My parents recognized and nurtured my artistry and I was fortunate to receive art lessons here and there outside of school. These experiences included the Athenaeum School of Arts in La Jolla and Balboa Park's Spanish Village. Classically trained in oil painting, I also enjoyed figure drawing, photography, sculptural media, and jewelry. Here is a link to the "artists spotlight" article about me from the Press Enterprise. Some of my work can be purchased on products at http://www.zazzle.com/selenium1/products I teach art and digital photography full time at Nuview Bridge Early College High School. My passion for teaching art has led me to create pARTy2Gogh, a "paint and sip" for the Riverside area.I truly believe in the creative capacity of every person. In my free time, you can find me immersed in an art project, elbow deep in garden dirt, experimenting with herbal remedies in the kitchen, browsing thrift stores, or spending time with friends and family. I like having my children with me all of the time!
I am also proud to have accomplished writing and illustrating a digital children of all ages book titled Wormy McNetter:Garden Friends get dressed for Winter. This little story showcases beneficial garden bugs who are cozy for winter. It can be found on ibooks https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/wormy-mcnetter-her-garden/id1065076386?ls=1&mt=11. Thanks for your interest and support!
